A Japanese Tea Ceremony

Edit: My 2nd entry for 's "A Cup of Tea" drawing contest it won the "Best Story-telling" category.

Although my W.I.T.C.H. Dreams of Lusteria haven't been written yet, I've decided to do a mini-comic that takes place sometime after said fan-saga. After months of battling gods, demons, spirits, and demi-gods on Lusteria, the seven Guardians have finally found the time to spend their day together. In gratitude for rescuing him from cluthces of "The Dark Side", saving his home planet of Lusteria, and watching out for his twin sister, Kyochi (The Guardian of Darkness) have decided to hold a traditional Japanese (Lusterian) Tea Ceremony with his sister and he invited Will, Irma, Taranee, Cornelia, and Hay Lin! While it may seems like a good idea at first, little does he know that things can get out of hand and even crazy when it comes to being around W.I.T.C.H. Because Kimi have spent more time with Will and the others than her twin brother during their Lusterian mission (against her will, of course), she strongly objected to the idea. She warned Kyochi that it would have been better to just invite them to hang out at a theme park. But since Kyochi doesn't know what a theme park is (because Lusteria is not an advance and sophisticated planet) he preferred to stick to good o' tradition by inviting the girls over for tea. He thought that it was going to be a nice and quiet day of tea, snacks, small talk, and watching the cherry blossoms. Yep, a nice and ordinary and relaxing day. But as we all know, that when you hang out with Will and her four friends, there is never going to be anything ordinary for you. Needless to say, they're all just trying to get Kyochi's attention and impress him with their magic and comments.

I didn't have enough rooms to fit all of the speech bubbles for the other four girls so this is what they would have said:

Irma: Hey, Kyochi! Check this out! Neat isn't it? It's a...
Cornelia: Did you make these odangos by yourself, Kyochi? Wow! I'll bet that they taste really-AAH! IRMA!!!
Irma: ...Oops...
Hay Lin: Look, Kyochi! It's a fire bird, just like Lord Zhu Que! (Zhu Que is another OC character for Dreams of Lusteria [link] )
Taranee: Don't strain yourself, Kyochi! I can re-heat this tea with my fire magic. You just sit back and enjoy the cherry blossoms.
Kimi: (thinking to herself) You're all idiots!

Kimi and Kyochi are my OC Twin Guardians of Light and Darkness and I'd thought it would be interesting to see them interact with each other. Note, Will and her friends are all wearing the same outfits in W.I.T.C.H. #90 and each colors represents their respected elements. Seeing this, I've decided to give the twins their respected colored elements, too. I know that Kimi's kimono looked light blue, but it's actually white. I just wanted to give it more depth by using colors.

Needless to say, this entire page took me nearly a month to put together and a total of over 20 layers on Photoshop. But I'm really happy with how it all turned out.
